Ejaz arrived in New York with all the class proper for a king; fitted in his (beloved) red travelling blanket and stepping into the chill night air, quickly accompanied by groom Molly Armistead, who had slung several of the stallion's coveted rose garlands over the arms of an overwhelmed airport employee. Seemingly unfazed by the change of weather from the dryness of Nevada to a particularly nasty wet evening in New York state, he instead remained more concerned with absolutely avoiding me, who he obviously felt abandoned by. Bygones being bygones, he was unusually quick to recover, and now spends his days as reigning king of Outset - not just Varhyden. We hope dearly that his conformation continues to prove as beneficial as it has in the past, with a whole different animal to face in the show ring this year.
